Nestled between two major mountain ranges, La Rioja is the perfect place to combine riding with a little bit of wine tasting: the vivid colours of the vineyards contrast gorgeously with blue skies. Fancy something a little different? Escape to El Bierzo, tucked in the north-west corner of Castilla-León. The area's filled with great mountain biking routes, as well as the dramatically-situated Sierra de los Ancares Nature Park.
