STOP OBSERVING SPAIN START LIVING IT

MAY DESTINATION: JAEN
HOW TO GET THERE
From Madrid, RENFE (www.renfe.es) runs four regional trains, three of which accept bikes. Note, however, that bikes aren't allowed on trains between 1:00 p.m. on Friday and midnight on Sunday evenings (you can, however, take a bicycle on the first train on Friday mornings, which leaves Madrid's Atocha station at 9:05 AM.) La Sepulvedana (www.lasepulvedana.com) runs three buses a day from Madrid's Mendez Álvaro bus station (Metro/Cercanías Mendez Álvaro). Taking a bike on board will cost an extra €3.

From Seville, Granada and Málaga, your best bet is to catch an Alsina Graells bus (www.alsinagraells.es), to Jaén's Central Station, located on the Avenida de Madrid, close to the city's center. (It is possible, though very inconvenient, to get the train.)
