Why so long?
The idea of the trip isn’t to simply draw a straight line from north to south and try to get there as quickly as possible. We’re out there to have fun, so we’re programming different cultural and historical visits, to museums, wineries and the like – and we’ve got nothing against getting off a main road if it means getting to see a great church or castle. Thirty days seemed like an ideal chunk of time that would allow us to see the country, have some funky and cool experiences, and not feel totally wiped out and ratty at the end.

How far will we go every day?
The longest day programmed so far is 93 kilometres (57 miles, almost all downhill), but most days will range between forty and sixty kilometres per day. If it doesn’t seem like enough, don’t worry – we can advise you on the highways and byways that’ll allow you to stretch it out a bit.

More I Back
This month...
Seville is fast becoming famous as the city which is destroying the stereotypes that Spaniards either can’t or won’t become urban cyclists.
